Makeni is one of the largest cities in Sierra Leone, located in the center of the country. In this majority Muslim country there are few opportunities for theological education, and the false prosperity gospel has taken firm root in most churches. Our desire is to equip these church leaders, educational professionals, and students, to understand the Bible as it was written and teach their congregations to live for Christ. The prosperity gospel has taken firm root in the churches around Makeni, as well as most of sub-Saharan Africa. Our desire as we train our students in biblical exposition is to enable them to see the error of this false gospel. We train about 35 students and all the training is in English. No translation needed!

Course 2: Knowing the Bible's StoryCOURSE DESCRIPTION
Course 2 explores the general flow of Christ-centered redemptive history from Genesis to Revelation. Major themes that appear throughout—each including aspects of continuity and discontinuity—are God’s kingdom, covenants, people, kingship, priesthood, prophetic ministry, and mission. Each theme is embedded within Scripture’s testimony to the fundamental storyline of God’s plan to reconcile the world to himself under Christ’s kingship for his glory. The point of the whole course is to equip the trainees to answer the hermeneutical Question 2: How does it fit in the Bible? The issue of the Bible’s whole story is hermeneutically potent and foundational to handling individual texts and passages rightly.
