In partnership with the North American Mission Board, we have begun training migrant leaders in Minneapolis from primarily a Hmong background. Many pastors who are first-generation immigrants do not have access to the opportunities around them for training and education. These ministry leaders find themselves in a similar position to those we are training around the world and we want to help them and their churches.
This site has served as a pilot program that we hope to expand to multiple cities. There are over a dozen ethnic groups in the Twin Cities that are interested in hosting TLI classes for their leaders and we have been contacted by church networks in Ohio and Arkansas as well!

I was sitting in an Amharic-speaking Ethiopian church in Minneapolis whose leaders lacked training, while at the same time we were planning two new sites in Ethiopia. There is a hidden need in western countries to train immigrant Christian leaders.
