This note of thanks comes from a participant in TLI's Diaspora Training Program in the Twin Cities.
I wanted to write to encourage you and express my gratitude for all the hard work you do. Through the TLI curriculum the women at my church have come to love the word of God. We have seen an increase and consistency in Sunday school attendance, women buying their own personal study Bibles, and just a thrill and excitement to openly discuss God's word in both large and small group settings. And for the first time in a long time, the discussions have shifted from ‘me-centered’ to ‘God-centered’ conversations. This is a huge deal as not all cultures can easily become vulnerable and focus on speaking about God's truths instead of just our own opinions.
Currently, we are going through Course 2, studying the Bible’s story as a whole. I was amazed that the women wanted to sit and dwell in the word of God when learning how Exodus–Deuteronomy fits into the story of the Bible, as these books are challenging to approach. We spent four Sundays in this lesson alone! I was a little skeptical about how well the students would receive this curriculum style and whether I could teach it as well as biblical theology. But I have to say that after teaching Course 2, it works very well.
The women in my church are really starting to understand the concepts. More importantly, I can see the word of God transforming their hearts and the Holy Spirit convicting us all. Truly, there is power in the gospel. I am learning a great deal myself, and it is definitely helping me to continue to grow in my walk.
Thank you again. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for your servant’s hearts. I pray that God would continue to bless your ministry. May he be glorified and honored through it.
