Pastor Tesfaye Nenko Edema, TLI's national partner in Ethiopia, helped to start this TLI training site at the location of an old girls' school originally built by Scandinavian Lutheran missionaries. To do this he recruited the help of a local denomination which partners to both host and populate the classes.
At present, there are approximately 45 students at the site, most of whom are pastors, youth leaders, women's leaders, or lay elders. This site will graduate in late 2022. Challenges in the school are mostly related to the denomination's hierarchical and legalistic leanings, Prayer is needed for TLI's training to address the unhelpful teaching and divisions which exist among the churches of this area.
Course 6: Letters (Ephesians)
Course 6 equips the trainees to understand letters accurately and to communicate them clearly and relevantly. Ephesians has been chosen as a representative of this genre. Sample passages from Ephesians will be the focus (e.g., 1:1–14; 2:1–10; 3:1–13; 4:1–16, 17–24; dip into chapters 5–6).
