TRIP FULLSep 30 - Oct 13, 2019
Pastor Tesfaye Nenko Edema, TLI's national partner in Ethiopia, helped to start this training site at the location of an old girls' school originally built by Scandinavian Lutheran missionaries. To do this he recruited the help of a local denomination which partners to both host and populate the classes. This is the second cohort in Hawassa.
At present, there are approximately 45 students at the site, most of whom are pastors, youth leaders, women's leaders, or lay elders. Graduation is planned for late 2022.
Challenges for these leaders are mostly related to their denomination's hierarchical and legalistic leanings. Prayer is needed for the training to adequately address this unhelpful teaching and the divisions which exist among the churches of this area.

Course 3: Narrative & Law (Genesis-Exodus)
Course 3 equips the trainees to understand narrative and law
accurately and to communicate passages in these genres clearly and
relevantly. Genesis and Exodus have been chosen as representatives
of these genres. Sample passages from each will be the focus (e.g.,
Gen. 2; 22; 28; Exod. 20; 23; 29).
