
Diaspora Training Director for Continuing Education
Overview
TLI exists to provide theological training and resources to church leaders around the world in formal and non-formal settings. This role would help lead a ministry to train diaspora (immigrant) pastors and church leaders within North America through a preaching workshop. There are significant numbers of diaspora churches in urban centers throughout Canada and the US whose pastors would benefit from the opportunity for supplemental training. We want to partner with local churches and ministries who share our vision to develop diaspora church leaders and work alongside them for the sake of the gospel in their communities and around the world.
To fulfill this assignment, you must develop your own personal support network.

Qualifications

- Masters level degree or higher in theology. Preferably a Doctorate Program.
Responsibilities
- Aid the President in the promotion and implementation of TLI's vision.
- Aid the Diaspora Training in the promotion and implementation of the Diaspora Training Program.
- Develop and oversee the Continuing Education Program in Diaspora Training for graduates.
- Oversee the Facilitator Training Program for Diaspora Training.
- Research resources for and maintain a Diaspora Training database, providing mission, diaspora, biblical studies, preaching, and theological content for Diaspora Training staff to improve their knowledge.
- Develop and oversee the Emerging Program for the Diaspora Training staff, providing on-going training so that the team increases in knowledge and expertise.
- Develop and oversee relationships with seminaries/universities in the accreditation process for our Diaspora Training Curriculum.
- Design, execute and oversee an evaluation process for the Diaspora Training Program.
- Facilitate the Diaspora Training Preaching Workshop around the US.
- Pursue a mentoring relationship with a diaspora church or pastor.
- Attend conferences related to evangelical scholarship and cross-cultural mission.
- Contribute to journals and magazines related to biblical studies, missions, and Diaspora.
- Engage in at least one international trip per year to teach and improve one's own cross-cultural teaching skills.
Travel Expectations
- At least one international trip per year to teach at a TLI site.
- At least three trips per year (10-12 days total) within the US for training, meetings, and a ministry retreat.
- Approximately 40-50 days per year of domestic travel for teaching, fundraising, interviews, meetings, and conferences.

Diaspora Training Regional Director - Southwest
Overview
TLI has focused on providing theological training to pastors in countries outside of the West in formal and non-formal settings. This role would help lead a ministry to train diaspora pastors and leaders in Western countries. There are currently pockets of diaspora pastors in major cities who do not have opportunities for further theological training. We want to partner with churches and ministries to provide training to those who desire to be trained. You must develop your own personal support network.

Area of responsibility: Southwestern US (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona)
Qualifications
- Abiding faith in Jesus Christ

- Agreement with the vision and strategy of TLI
- Experience teaching and leading across cultures and well-versed in cross-cultural ministry
- Cross-cultural ministry experience desired
- Masters level degree in Theology or higher
Responsibilities
- Aid the President in the promotion and implementation of TLI's vision
- Aid the Diaspora Training Director in promotion and implementation of Diaspora Training vision
- Oversee the startup and implementation of new training sites amongst diaspora pastors within your region
- Establish partnerships with churches, schools, organizations to aid in recruiting and development
- Identify new areas and communities for training
- Teach TLI curriculum and lead teams to teach at the training sites
- Attend conferences related to evangelical scholarship and cross-cultural mission
- Contribute to journals and magazines related to biblical studies and missions
Travel Expectations
- 1 international trip a year
- 40-50 days a year for travel for teaching, fundraising, interviews, meetings

5 International Trainers
TLI is looking for qualified men to serve as full-time trainers of pastors overseas. The position is based in the United States and requires you to take 4-5 international trips a year. The ideal candidates are either men with over 10 years of pastoral experience in the United States or missionaries who are returning to the US and looking for a new opportunity to serve the global church.While in the US you would work on writing and research projects for TLI. You must develop your own personal support network and be willing to live in Minneapolis.

- Travel overseas 4-5 times a year to train pastors in modular course settings
- Closely mentor students and pastors for the purpose of teaching cross-culturally
- Travel to 1-2 seminaries a year to recruit students for teaching
- Establish relationships with seminaries and church leaders
- Perform research and writing projects for TLI
- Attend conferences related to evangelical scholarship and cross-cultural mission
- Contribute to journals and magazines related to biblical studies and mission

Short-Term Ministries Coordinator
Overview
Training Leaders International trains pastors and leaders in multiple locations around the world. The person to fill this role will oversee the logistics and planning of all of these trips. They must be strong administratively and relationally as they are required to both setup trips and interact with teachers we send from the US as well as correspond and coordinate with ministry partners around the world. You must develop your own personal support network and be willing to live in Minneapolis.
Reports to: Director of STM Operations
Qualifications

• Experience in budgeting, Office productivity software, G Suite, data management software, interpersonal communication, and general administration.
Responsibilities
• Aid the President, by implementing and promoting the vision of TLI
• Work closely with International Trainers to ensure quality control on short-term trips
• Manage individual trip budgets, trip logistics, and information systems
• Assist with short-term team member interviews and development
• Develop and/or maintain policies and procedures for all aspects of the STM department
• Recruit new short-term team members along with other TLI staff members
• Travel overseas 1-2 times a year to assist TLI's short-term training efforts

Operations Manager for Church Planter Training
Training Leaders International is focused on providing theological training to pastors in the majority world in both formal and non-formal settings. In an effort to extend that training TLI has begun a new initiative focused on training church planters. The person chosen for this position will play a key role working closely with the Director of Church Planter Training to implement the mission and vision of this new department. You must develop your own personal support network and be willing to live in Minneapolis.

International Trainer (Formal Site: Specialty in New Testament)
In an effort to support pastoral training in the majority world, TLI is looking for qualified men to serve as International Trainers at formal pastoral training institutions overseas. The position is based in Minneapolis, and requires you to take 4-5 international trips each year. The ideal candidate has a terminal degree in New Testament, a deep commitment to and experience in the local church, and proven competency in creating and teaching formal courses cross-culturally. While in the US you will work on writing and research projects for TLI, and assist national partners at formal sites to achieve institutional excellence. You must develop your own personal support network, and be willing to live in Minneapolis.

- Ability to create and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in accordance with a course description from a college or seminary

Responsibilities
- Aid the President in the implementation of the vision of TLI
- Travel overseas 4-5 times a year. Trips will include teaching modular courses, engaging students inside and outside the classroom, and meeting with the school leaders to empower the further development of their school. Trips will primarily be to formal schools, but will also include some non-formal contexts
- Closely mentor volunteer faculty as they create their courses and prepare to teach cross-culturally
- Take primary responsibility for the relationships and coordination with one of our formal school partners
- Assist in recruiting volunteer faculty. This may include traveling to seminaries and churches.
- Perform research and writing projects for TLI
- Participate as a presenter as well as establishing and deepening relationships at conferences related to evangelical scholarship and cross-cultural missions
- Engage in professional writing projects related to your area of specialization and the mission of TLI
- Perform research and writing projects for internal use at TLI
Travel Expectations
- 55-65 days a year for international travel to teach
- 10-12 days a year for domestic travel to participate in events such as conferences, meetings, and recruiting

Director of Missions Research
TLI is looking for someone with a PhD in a theological studies, anthropology, or missions to be a full-time researcher on contemporary mission issues, practices, and trends. This position is based in Minneapolis. The ideal candidate would have a blend of cross-cultural experience and academic training. He must be competent in current research practices. You must develop your own personal support network and be willing to live in Minneapolis.
