Aug  25th,  2014Thankful for God's good work this weekend

Three encouraging things this weekend for which I am thankful:

(1) A meeting on Saturday evening with the school board of the seminary at First Baptist Church of Atibaia where we are training pastors, and the president of AETAL (Evangelical Association of Theological Education in Latin America), an accrediting group for evangelical schools in this part of the world. It was an informative and encouraging meeting.

(2) Today at church, witnessing a baptism of 14 new believers and about 75 new members join the congregation. Praising God for the work he is doing here.

(3) Receiving a warm welcome from the congregation this evening as they express thanks to God that we are here to help train pastors. I am thankful for the opportunity to do what I do.

Aug  23rd,  2014We have arrived in Atibaia

Earlier this morning, Philemon and I arrived in Atibaia. We are glad to be here after an uneventful trip and are looking forward to a good time of teaching next week.

We will add more tonight after we get some rest and have a meeting with several key leaders from the school and the head of theological education in Latin America.
