Wondering how some of our short-term teachers process trips after they have taken place? You can read an recent blog post by Rusty Osborne, one of our team members to Kenya here.
These Kenyan leaders needed to understand that as Christians, they cannot interpret the Old Testament text–however similar to their setting it may appear–without first understanding the progress of redemption that took place on the cross. Their identity is found in the post-resurrection church, not pre-incarnation Israel. The study of biblical theology is critical for any Christian context, but I have observed that in traditional cultures it is imperative. I am thankful for Training Leaders International for the opportunity to teach in Kenya, and for their commitment to disciple leaders and teach biblical theology all over the globe.
